Setup Multiple Archive Servers for PDM Client

Instructions for setting up multiple archive servers for a client

Answer:

In File Explorer go to the SolidWorks install on the network. Browse to \SWPDMClient\Support\Policies. Copy the PDMWork Enterprise.ADM to the user's desktop.

Open the SolidWorks Administration client on the user's PC and double click Group Policies under Local Settings.

Right-click Administrative Templates - Add/Remove Templates. Add the adm file that was copied to the desktop.

Go to User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Classic Administrative Templates - SOLIDWORKS PDM Settings - Login Manager

Set Enable Alternative Servers to Enabled

Set Add Alternative Servers to Enabled. Add the necessary archive server

Hurco - Hurco-EPDM2.hurco.com

Milltronics - MT-EPDM2.mt.hurco.com

Taiwan - Hurco-EPDMTW2.hurco.com
