AX 4.0 - Serial Number and Frame Number not showing on the Invoice Line

Question:

Issue where the machine tax invoice does not show the serial number and frame number.

Refer to the screenshot below for reference.

The usual machine tax invoice will show the serial no. and framno.

Answer:

The machine tax invoice does not show the serial number and frame number because the Item Group VM15i is not marked as a machine. Item Group VM15i is associated with Item VM15HSEA.

Please have whoever set up Item Group VM15i mark that record as a machine in Axapta 4.0.

We do not know who set this up but they must correct it. This will resolve your problem.
