Question:

Copied a customer located in CA from HUS to MAS and for some reason it will not allow the sales tax number  that is highlighted below to populate.  I have checked everything I can and cannot find an issue.   Let me know if we need to discuss.

Subject: MAS Customer Tax # Issue

Elizabeth,

I just entered a new customer for MAS that was already an HUS customer. D365 copied the info over from HUS to MAS, except for the sales tax #. The # is in their HUS record, but didn’t copy to the MAS record. Therefore, I copied/pasted the # over. But now it won’t let me save the info in the MAS record. And worse, when I delete the #, it won’t let me save or exit. I tried shutting down the tab and reopening, but it still won’t let me save it. I don’t know why the # works in HUS but not in MAS. Any ideas?

The customer is:

ESM Aerospace
1203 W Isabel St
Burbank, CA 91506

Thanks,

Answer:

A purpose like Delivery needed to be on the record for it to work.
