Below are the steps for exporting and importing VMs into Windows HYPER-V
Export a virtual machine
To create a virtual machine export:
- In Hyper-V Manager, right-click the virtual machine and select Export.
- Choose where to store the exported files and click Export.
When the export is done, you can see all exported files under the export location.
I suggest exporting it to a flash drive if you are transferring a VM onto another PC.
Import a virtual machine
To import a virtual machine:
- From the Actions menu in Hyper-V Manager, select Import Virtual Machine.
- Click Next.
- Select the folder that contains the exported files, and select Next.
- Select the virtual machine to import.
- Choose the import type, and select Next. For descriptions, see Import
types.
- Select Finish.
